22 x 129mm Beech Variation ultramatt lacquer | 2 strip wooden flooring

Beech - a light durable wooden floor that has once again been welcomed in private homes

A traditional wooden floor is a beech hardwood floor. The history of the beech wood floor dates back to the 1930s, when the floor's popularity quickly gained momentum and was a matter of course in most Danish homes. Now the beech floor is experiencing a renaissance.

Why is beech as ingenious as flooring? Beech differs from other light woods in that the beech tree gradually acquires a warm reddish tone. The excellent strength properties, gives a durable beech parquet with a classic look.

This grade has a rustic look with substantial colour and structural graining variation between the individual staves. Several small and large knots and natural fine splits occur.  Knots and other irregularities are to the greatest extent possible factory filled with a one colour filler.

6 good reasons to buy a highend solid hardwood floor from Junckers Outlet shop

Highend floors at a reduced price

The prices are low, but the quality of the floors remains high. It is the same raw wood we use for all of our floors and the same way of production. There is no difference in the quality, but rather in the quantity. And this is why we are able to treat our customers with solid hardwood floors at reduced prices.

Probably the most important investment

Your floor is probably the #1 part of your home which is exposed to the most wear. Nevertheless, also one of the few parts that are changed the least. So, it makes perfectly good sense to choose a floor type with optimal durability and in that way secure your investment and money spend.

When choosing solid wood, you can sand your floor multiple times, regaining the look and feel of a completely new floor.

Sustainable choice

Wood itself is a sustainable choice positively affecting our climate and is a renewable and completely recyclable resource.

Wood is naturally low in embodied carbon, a renewable resource that does not produce waste or pollution. At Junckers, we are committed to manufacturing solid hardwood flooring that stays true to nature, without adding chemicals or any other materials. Caring for the environment is central to our business.

QUALITY

Solid wood is just that, nothing but real, natural wood through and through. Every Junckers floorboard is made of strong and durable solid hardwood – there are no layers of inferior quality; there is no glue or chemical substances in the flooring which adversely affect the air quality in a room, no reliance on fossil fuel derived materials.

Easy maintenance

Junckers floors are easy to clean and maintain. We provide a broad range of maintenance products, specially developed for wooden floors.

Regular maintenance is vital to keep the wood floors in a strong and beautiful condition for a long time. Maintain your wood floor well, and your wood floor will last even longer and always look clean and fresh.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

One of the targets of the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge is to use light coloured floor finishes to enhance daylighting and reduce overheating. Junckers solid beech, maple and ash floors are light coloured, easy to maintain and long lasting. All Junckers floors are certified according to "The Danish Indoor Climate Labelling", stating that Junckers floors have no detrimental effect upon indoor air quality.

About Junckers solid hardwood floors

The special offers sometimes are not available in our distributors due to the specialist nature of the product item e.g. because of colour or dimensions.

Our core range and some specials are on sale through our participating stockists. Please see our “where to buy” to locate branches with Junckers displays and stock.

No. Not all our distributors will be participating in all stock offers so make sure to check with them before you travel.

All special offer promotions can be shipped directly from Denmark to your home.

Yes. Standard delivery to Ireland and Northern Ireland is 150 Euro.

Our floors can be reduced for some of the following reasons, none of which have anything to do with quality.

  • Sometimes we have ‘left over’ stock from large specialist commercial projects that have been made to order and are no longer needed because the projects are now complete.
  • As part of our huge production, we buy raw material in many different dimensions. Not all material can be made to suit our standard product programme. In order to utilize this raw wood we make flooring with resize stave lengths, board widths and thicknesses.
  • Floors that have been sanded once and then re-treated. We sometimes sand floors and re-treat them if the surface has been superficial damaged.

We make sure to utilise 100% of the forested timber. Junckers’ residual wood (sawdust, wood chips, saw-cut log ends and other residual wood from the production) is supplied to a wood-fired power plant, which in return supplies electricity to Junckers and the Danish national electricity network.

At Junckers we pride ourselves in the continuity of supply of our products. In most cases our central product range will always be available. There will be some specialist items e.g. a 90cm resized product that may not be available in the same dimension or at the same price at a future date.

Yes of course Junckers is suitable for underfloor heating. Our flooring has uniformly low moisture content and can be fitted with our mechanical clip system due significant factors in how underfloor heating works so well with our flooring. We always recommend your underfloor heating contractors to see our technical documents.

We recommend that when you purchase a Junckers Floor you talk directly to us about how to install the floor.

We can organise an approved installer to do your installation. Please contact us directly for this.

We can also talk to your installer about best practice for installing a Junckers Floor.

Please see our Installation guidelines that are important for your builder and installer to ‘sign off’ on prior to installing your floor.

Sales & delivery terms

If you are purchasing through one of our participating distributors you will arrange delivery as normal with them.

If you are purchasing direct from the Junckers Outlet the delivery will be through a third party courier called DSV. The deliveries will be kerb side  to the agreed address and prearranged via email and/or telephone for morning (9am – 1pm) or afternoon (12 – 4pm) on a specific date. It is very important you are there to receive the goods and have the manpower in place to take the goods inside making sure they are kept dry at all times.

Standard cost for delivery is €150.

Any additional delivery requirements may incur further costs and will be quoted on an order by order basis.

It is important to inspect all your goods as they are being delivered. The DSV Delivery driver will ask you to sign a POD (Proof of Delivery) document to record he has delivered the goods into your care in good condition. It is important to check your goods against the quantities of your sales order, making sure none of the packs are damaged, missing or wet.

If you see something damaged or incorrect it is important you write this issue on the POD document beside where you are about to sign. E.g. 1 pack damaged.

We will take control of issue from that point and sort out what is required to fix your order.

If the goods are damaged or missing and there is no information on the POD to support this then it will be difficult to determine when and where this has happened. In this case the liability of damage will be with the customer.
