In may 2002 Billund Airport in Denmark opened a new international airport terminal of 40,000 m²
The airport is situated next to the tourist attraction of Legoland and sees a lot of traffic. This is why the architects had a set of specific requirements for the flooring.
In one area a 360 metres long area was installed. To absorb fluctuations of the large floor surface three Shipsdecking boards have been inserted for every 10 metres. The crosslaid boards are Shipsdecking, too.
The floor is mainly laid with clips - and in parts nailed to battens.
