Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel is located in Lindholmen, a former shipbuilding area that’s been transformed into a world-class science park. The hotel was designed by Reflex Architects, Stockholm and Stylt Trampoli architects, Gothenburg developed the concept for the restaurant and bar. The newly opened hotel bar took home one of the industry’s most coveted prizes, the European Hotel Design Award, for Best Bar.
The floor area of the restaurant and bar is about 400 m². The requirements for the floor was that they would be solid and stained, to cope with the tough wear and tear in the restaurant. The wood would be FSC® labeled as the whole building has been planned with a green profile and designed with a view to achieving the Gold level under the international environmental system LEED. The choice fell on Junckers floors in solid black oak, harmony with factory-oiled surface.
